Specialised Housing Co-ordinator
Vacancy Reference peabodygroup/TP/1172/111
Our Vacancy
Your typical day might start by assisting a vulnerable tenant with a tenancy-related query, ensuring they feel supported and secure. Later, you might coordinate with contractors to prepare an empty property for new residents, maintaining high standards and reducing void times. In the afternoon, you could liaise with colleagues to resolve anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases or update compliance records to ensure all health and safety measures are met.
As a Specialist Housing Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of Peabody’s mission to support vulnerable tenants and communities. No two days are the same, and you’ll play a vital role in ensuring residents feel safe, supported, and empowered. Working closely with Specialist Housing Officers and stakeholders, you’ll maintain high tenancy standards, resolve issues, and help customers thrive in their homes.
You’re a proactive, compassionate people person who enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively. While the role requires time in the office or on-site supporting residents, this role will be mostly remote with an expectation to attend our South East London office once a month.
Your role will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for tenancy and housing queries.
- Coordinating voids and repairs, ensuring homes are ready for new tenants quickly and to a high standard.
- Supporting compliance processes, including fire risk and health & safety checks.
- Maintaining tenancy records and ensuring accuracy in reporting and data management.
- Liaising with internal teams and contractors to deliver excellent service.
To succeed in this role, you’ll:
- Be committed to providing first-class customer service.
- Have a positive, compassionate, and solution-focused approach.
- Be highly organised and able to prioritise a varied workload effectively.
- Bring experience in housing, care, or support services, especially with vulnerable communities.
- Be confident in using IT systems to monitor performance and maintain records.
Please be aware that this role requires an Enhanced DBS check and participation in an on-call rota one week out of every four.
If you’re driven by making a difference, supporting others, and ensuring people feel at home, we’d love to hear from you.
