Are you looking to kick-start your career in administration within a supportive and purpose-driven organisation? Join Peabody as an Apprentice Administrator and gain valuable experience while working towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification.
As part of our Academy team, you'll work closely with a friendly and experienced group to support the coordination of learning activities, manage communications, and handle key administrative responsibilities that contribute to the smooth running of our Learning & Development programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about learning, well-organised, and eager to build a future in business support.
This role offers an excellent stepping stone into the People Directorate, with opportunities to shadow senior leaders and contribute to key projects across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage diary scheduling and coordinate team meetings and events
- Take minutes and track actions from team meetings
- Support learning requests and monitor costings with the Learning & Development team
- Handle queries in the Academy inbox and maintain clear communications
- Help coordinate high-impact programmes such as the Better Together and People Management initiatives
- Assist in managing internal systems such as the Academy’s e-portfolio and LMS
- Support reporting, data entry, and invoice management
- Champion internal communications, diversity and wellbeing, and professional development initiatives
What We're Looking For
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must:
- Be aged 18 or over at the time of appointment
- Have lived in the UK continuously for the past three years
- Not already hold a qualification at the same level (Level 3 or higher) in business administration
You’ll be:
- A great communicator with a good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and open to learning
- Organised and detail-focused, with a drive to support others
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Passionate about customer service and delivering great results
Ideally, you will have:
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent (Level 2 qualifications)
- Some experience in customer service, office, or administrative work (this can be gained through voluntary or work experience)
- A keen interest in developing a long-term career in administration or the people profession
