Our Vacancy

You’re an expert in contract management who sees beyond the paperwork — you understand that every contract is about enabling better homes, delivering value, and ensuring that residents receive the service they deserve. You know how to balance commercial rigour with social purpose, and you’re motivated by the opportunity to lead a high-performing team that makes a meaningful difference. If you thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and are ready to help shape a first-class repairs service, we want to hear from you.

As our Senior Contracts Manager, you’ll lead the strategic management of our supply chain across Peabody’s property services. From overseeing contract performance to ensuring quality delivery and value for money, you’ll play a critical role in driving continuous improvement across responsive repairs, voids, damp and mould services, major repairs and professional property services.

You’ll act as the service’s subject matter expert on procurement, audit, and risk, and you’ll use data and insight to lead the shift from reactive to proactive service delivery. You’ll manage a team of Contract and Assistant Contract Managers and work collaboratively with regional teams and key stakeholders to maintain compliance, ensure performance against KPIs, and support transformation projects.

This role is more than operational oversight — it’s about strategic influence, leading by example, and embedding accountability, commercial focus and service excellence at every level.

You’ll bring:

  • Extensive contract and project management experience within property services.
  • Proven commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and procurement.
  • Strong technical understanding of building maintenance, pathology, and health and safety legislation.
  • Experience managing risk, audits, and contract mobilisation.
  • Confidence in using data to challenge, improve and inform service decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative leadership style.
  • The ability to coach, delegate and empower teams to perform with purpose and accountability.
  • A solution-focused mindset with the drive to deliver results and make services better for residents.

You’ll report to the Assistant Director of Repairs Strategy & Improvement and be a key member of the senior management team, working alongside internal teams and contractors to deliver a reliable, value-driven repairs service that supports Peabody’s mission: helping people flourish.

Here are just a few of the benefits of working at Peabody:

  • 30 days’ annual holiday, plus bank holidays
  • Two additional paid volunteering days each year
  • Flexible benefits scheme, including family-friendly benefits and access to a discount portal
  • 4 x salary life assurance
  • Up to 10% pension contribution
