People Systems & Data Administrator (Apprenticeship)

Location: Hybrid working from Houghton Hall, Dunstable 2 days each week.  There will also be an expectation to travel to London (Waterloo) 4-5 times per calendar month for team days and Course Study

Course Duration: 15-month apprenticeship

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship qualification, your salary will increase to the standard rate for this role, which is currently £26,093 per annum.   Please note that this rate may be subject to an increase by the time you complete your apprenticeship.

About the Role

As our new People Systems & Data Administrator (Apprenticeship), you’ll be part of a supportive People Operations team, helping to keep our systems running smoothly and our data accurate. You’ll work with colleagues across the organisation, supporting everything from system updates and reporting, to staff benefits and training.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship—with 20% of your time dedicated to learning and development.

What You’ll Learn and Do

  • Support the maintenance and development of our People Systems
  • Help produce and improve people data reports
  • Assist with staff benefits processes and queries
  • Maintain accurate records and support data audits
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve system guidance and training
  • Contribute to wider People Operations tasks during busy periods

What We’re Looking For

We know this will be a popular role, so we’ll be shortlisting based on the following essential criteria:

  1. Level 2 qualifications (e.g. 5 GCSEs or equivalent) – including English and Maths.
  2. Interest or experience in working with data or systems – through school, work, or personal projects.
  3. Strong written communication skills – with the ability to explain things clearly and professionally.
  4. High attention to detail – with examples of spotting errors or managing tasks accurately.
  5. A clear motivation for applying – and an understanding of what an apprenticeship involves.

You’ve lived in the UK, EEA, Switzerland, or Gibraltar for the last 3 years (you’ll need to show proof).
You don’t already have a qualification at the same level or higher in this subject.

What Happens Next

If you meet the eligibility and essential shortlist criteria, you’ll be invited to complete an online assessment between the 26 to the 28 August as well as an in-person interview at our Houghton Hall Office either on the 29 August OR 2 September.  

We’d love for our new apprentice to join us by early October at the latest, giving you time to complete your onboarding and set yourself up for success in your new role.
