As a Senior Voids Surveyor, you’ll play a vital role in turning empty properties into homes, ensuring quality, safety, and value for money for our residents. What you’ll do:
- Oversee voids for your allocated region, ensuring quick turnaround of empty properties so they are clear, safe, and lettable to residents at a great standard and value for money.
- Carry out pre- and post-inspections to confirm the scope of work is achieved and properties meet lettable standards.
- Manage and mentor Assistant Voids Surveyors, sharing technical expertise.
- Work operationally four days per week with one admin day at a regional office location.
- Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to secure value for money and speed of delivery.
- Monitor budgets and ensure every pound delivers maximum value for money.
- Provide technical advice and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
What we’re looking for:
To be shortlisted, you must demonstrate:
- Technical Qualification & Knowledge – Degree or HND/HNC in Building Surveying (or equivalent experience) and knowledge of Schedule of Rates.
- Voids & Contractor Management Experience – Proven experience overseeing voids and working with contractors to secure value for money and timely delivery.
- Problem-Solving & Operational Delivery – Ability to resolve issues quickly and ensure safe, efficient turnaround of properties (operational 4 days per week, 1 admin day).
- Budget & Value for Money Focus – Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively and drive cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Values & Customer Focus – Evidence of behaviours aligned with our values and a strong commitment to excellent customer service.

Our selection process will include two stages:
- Stage 1: Online Interview
This will take place via Microsoft Teams on Monday and Tuesday 19/20 January 2026. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know you better and for you to learn more about the role and our organisation. - Stage 2: In-Person Interview
Candidates who are successful at Stage 1 will be invited to attend an in-person interview at our office on Monday, 26 January 2026. This stage will involve a more detailed discussion about your experience and suitability for the role.
